The Propagation Globe is the most advanced HF propagation tool ever built for HamSphere. It puts a live, rotating 3D globe on your screen — not a flat map, not a static chart, but a real-time window into how the ionosphere is behaving right now, on the band you are using.

What you see at a glance

The globe shows day and night in real time using the gray line — the terminator that every serious DX operator watches. Overlaid on the globe is a full VOACAP propagation map, updated every hour, showing signal strength from your continent in the colours you know: red for the strongest paths, fading through orange, green and blue to the weakest. Rotate the globe with your mouse, zoom in with the scroll wheel, and watch the propagation picture follow.

• Band conditions calculated from real MUF data — not a generic rating but an honest assessment of whether your selected band is actually open right now

Built for operators

Switch bands and watch the propagation overlay and conditions update instantly. Toggle the gray line, propagation overlay, signal paths and aurora oval on and off with a single click. The band selector shows your active band at all times. Every piece of information on screen has a purpose.

Technical

VOACAP predictions are generated hourly on the HamSphere servers using real solar flux and SSN data, covering all HF bands from 160m to 10m across six continents. MUF data is extracted from the same VOACAP runs, giving you the most accurate picture of current ionospheric conditions available to any amateur radio operator.
