    6 bands 5el Quad at 66ft (10, 11, 12, 15, 17 and 20m)

This multi-band 5 element Cubical Quad has been designed to operate across 6 amateur radio bands (20, 17, 15, 12, 11 and 10m). It is a full size square loop design which has been optimized for high gain and excellent all round performance. In the real world scenario, a Cubical Quad outperforms Yagi-Uda antennas especially on RX due to lower static noise pickup. Unlike a Yagi which has high impedance open end elements that are subject to static noise affinity, a Cubical Quad has the inherent advantage of having full wavelength, low impedance closed loop design paradigm.

The 6-band 5-element Quad offered here is a quiet beam antenna with superior performance at lower height. This antenna has a single co-axial cable feed with low SWR across all bands and does not require an ATU to perform. Each element is designed as multi-loop concentric planer structure.

This antenna was conceived keeping in mind the needs of an avid DX operator as well as those who like short and medium distance QSOs and rag-chews. Being a multi-band antenna, the radiation lobe patterns vary between bands, but care has been taken to optimize the patterns in a way so that it provides low angle radiation on higher frequency bands when its needed most. On the lower frequency bands, a slightly higher take-off angle works to our advantage.

This antenna is an all time winner, both in terms of performance and cost. A complex design that has been carefully optimized for HamSphere 4.0 can be your stepping stone to the big league. Happy DXing!!!
