The HamSphere PSK31 Plug-in
CC PSK31 brings full BPSK31 digital mode capability to your HamSphere station. Decode and transmit PSK31 signals directly inside HamSphere — no external software, no sound card routing, no fuss. Click a signal on the waterfall, watch the text roll in, type a reply and hit Enter.
Key features:

AFC / PLL — second-order phase-locked loop with lock indicator. Tune manually until text appears, then enable AFC — the PLL locks on and tracks the signal automatically. Green dot = locked, yellow = searching.

Full TX capability — type directly into the TX text box or use the four macro buttons (CQ, RST 599, QRZ?, 73 SK) which automatically insert your callsign. Press Enter to transmit. The plugin generates a properly cosine-shaped BPSK31 signal with preamble and postamble, keys PTT automatically.
How to operate:
Turn AFC off. Click a PSK31 signal on the waterfall — the white centre line and yellow filter markers show exactly where you are tuned. Use the mouse wheel to nudge the frequency until text flows cleanly in the RX window. Enable AFC to lock on and track. To transmit, click the TX text box, type your message (or click a macro button), and press Enter. The plugin handles PTT, modulation, preamble and timing automatically.

BPSK31 at 31.25 baud. Differential phase-shift keying with raised-cosine pulse shaping. Full Varicode encode/decode covering all printable ASCII characters plus CR/LF. 512-point FFT waterfall with stable adaptive AGC. Matched-filter decoder with 16-phase symbol timing recovery. Second-order PLL carrier tracking with differential squared-symbol frequency error extraction.
