The 3 element YAGI is a work horse beam antenna. This antenna will impress you with it's ability to boost your transmit signal over a wider beamwidth than say a 5 or 8 element YAGI so stations can hear you without being on their exact azimuth. The 3 element YAGI will also bring a station up and out of the noise level by 5 to 6 db's and sometimes more. I have worked many DX stations using the 3 element YAGI with great signal reports on both ends compared to using a wire antenna where the QSO could not be confirmed. The 3 element YAGI is a great antenna and very effective and one of the best for the amount of money spent.
